Job summary

NPS International School (Singapore) is seeking a dedicated Secondary School Teacher to deliver the Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP curricula across assigned grades. The role involves planning, assessment, and timetabling by the Principal and HOD, while working within a team to enhance student engagement and achievement.

The teacher will promote the school vision and maintain professional standards on and off campus.

Qualifications

• Deliver Cambridge Lower Secondary/Cambridge IGCSE/IBDP curriculum across assigned grade levels.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to plan and implement effective teaching and learning programs.
• Uphold NPSI policies, professional standards and be a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the annual program of work based on the curriculum and scheme of work provided.
• Write lesson plans at least 2 weeks in advance and get them approved by the HOD.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning atmosphere in all lessons.
• Promote an inclusive, collaborative learning environment and support SEN and gifted learners.
• Prepare and upload homework and resources to the Firefly platform as required.
• Identify and publish suitable resources for the department and support assessment practices.
• Complete reflections and share AFIs/CAPs with colleagues and HOD.
• Conduct remedial classes and ensure student well-being and safety.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences and communicate progress to parents.
