United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a seasoned software professional to act as a domain knowledge custodian for existing applications, guiding architecture, business logic, and historical design decisions.

The role involves designing and developing software using waterfall and Agile methodologies, troubleshooting via scripts and SQL, and collaborating with BAs and QA engineers for elaboration, testing, and fixes.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified/CSQA-level certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in .NET, SharePoint and cloud development.
• Experience with waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in Document Management Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting across system and app levels.
• Vendor coordination and stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Team collaboration and communication skills.
• Certifications in software testing (CSTP/CSQA) are a plus.
• Automated testing (unit/integration/functional) experience.
• Web development and SSIS experience.
• Knowledge of build automation tools (MSBuild, Maven, Docker).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the domain knowledge custodian for existing applications and provide guidance on architecture and design decisions.
• Design and develop software using waterfall/Agile methodologies.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues through scripting and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with BAs and QA engineers for elaboration, testing, and bug fixes.
• Coordinate with Deployment/DevOps teams on CI/CD and release automation.
• Provide estimates for stories during sprint planning.
• Translate acceptance criteria into automated tests (unit/integration/functional).
• Support production issues and after-hours rotation.
• Promote Agile practices like TDD, pair programming, and refactoring.
• Assist in application deployment to multiple environments.
• Work with vendors to integrate third-party solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Apply AI coding tools to support development, testing, and reviews.
• Use automation to improve development efficiency across build, test, and deployment.
• Leverage AI to improve code quality and documentation.

• Serve as the domain knowledge custodian for existing applications, providing technical guidance and context to the team on system architecture, business logic, and historical design decisions.


• Solution the design and develop the software using waterfall/Agile methodology.


• Perform investigation, troubleshoot issues by developing scripts, SQL queries.


• Work closely and collaborate with the Business Analysts and Quality Engineers/application testers for user stories elaboration, test automation, bug fixes etc.


• Work with deployment team/DevOps team on setting up continuous integration, build and release automation.


• Provide estimates for stories during sprint planning for Agile project.


• Convert acceptance criteria into automated unit tests cases.


• Support production issues and duty rotation for after-office-hours support


• Champion Agile technical practices such as test-driven development, pair programming and refactoring


• Involve in application deployment to the various environments.


• Work closely with vendors to integrate third-party solutions


• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders


• Apply AI coding tools such as Copilot and Coder AI to support development, testing, and code reviews.


• Use automation to improve development efficiency. This includes build, test, and deployment activities.


• Leverage AI assistance to improve code quality. This covers refactoring, defect resolution, and documentation.


• Demonstrate willingness to adopt new AI and automation tools where relevant to work outcomes.

Requirements
