Job summary

NTT Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Microsoft Hyper-V Infrastructure Engineer (L2/L3) to support a large-scale banking infrastructure in Singapore. This hands-on role emphasizes Hyper-V and Windows Server administration, Failover Clustering and SCVMM, with on-site work at the client location.

The engineer will manage VM provisioning, live migration, patching, RCA, and runbooks while collaborating with network, storage and security teams to meet SLA requirements in a 24x7 onsite

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on Hyper-V experience is mandatory.
• Strong Windows Server administration and clustering skills.
• Experience with SCVMM and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven incident/problem/change management capability.
• L2/L3 infrastructure support background.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Hyper-V and Windows Server.
• Administer and troubleshoot Hyper-V hosts, VMs and Failover Clusters.
• Manage VM provisioning, migration, decommissioning and changes.
• Perform Hyper-V Live Migration activities and troubleshooting.
• Administer Hyper-V environments using SCVMM where applicable.
• Patch, upgrade and maintain Hyper-V hosts and VMs.
• Troubleshoot cluster, storage, networking, and VM performance.
• Perform Windows Server administration, patching, security hardening.
• Support incidents, problems, changes per SLAs.
• Conduct RCA and remediation for major incidents.
• Use PowerShell for automation and admin tasks.
• Monitor health, capacity and availability of infrastructure.
• Participate in DR exercises and failover testing.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs and infrastructure records.
• Collaborate with infra, app, network, storage and security teams.

Location: Singapore - Client Site

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Support Model: 24x7 Rotating Shifts

Contract: Initial 12 months, renewable .

Project: NTT Singapore - Large-Scale Banking Infrastructure Project

NTT Singapore is looking for experienced Microsoft Hyper-V Infrastructure Engineers (L2/L3) to support a large-scale, mission-critical banking infrastructure environment in Singapore.

This is a hands-on production infrastructure role focused primarily on Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server. We are looking for engineers with direct experience administering, maintaining and troubleshooting Hyper-V environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Hyper-V hosts, virtual machines and Failover Clusters.
• Manage VM provisioning, configuration, migration, decommissioning and resource changes.
• Perform and troubleshoot Hyper-V Live Migration activities.
• Administer Hyper-V environments using SCVMM / Microsoft System Center where applicable.
• Perform Hyper-V host and VM patching, upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot cluster, storage, networking, VM availability, performance and capacity issues.
• Perform Windows Server administration, patching, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Support incidents, problems, service requests and infrastructure changes in accordance with operational SLAs.
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and remediation for recurring or major incidents.
• Use PowerShell for infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and automation.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance and availability.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises, failover/recovery activities and operational readiness testing.
• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks and infrastructure records.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, storage and security teams to resolve production issues.

Mandatory Technical Experience

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in:

• Microsoft Hyper-V production administration
• Windows Server administration
• Hyper-V Failover Clustering
• VM provisioning and lifecycle management
• Hyper-V host/VM troubleshooting
• Server/host patching and upgrades
• PowerShell
• Incident, Problem and Change Management
• L2/L3 infrastructure support

Experience with the following will be highly preferred:

• SCVMM / Microsoft System Center
• Live Migration
• Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV) and quorum
• Hyper-V cluster troubleshooting
• Vulnerability remediation and server hardening
• Capacity and performance management
• Disaster Recovery and failover exercises
• Large-scale enterprise or banking infrastructure environments

Important

This position requires direct hands-on Microsoft Hyper-V experience.

Candidates whose experience is primarily VMware, cloud, backup/storage or networking with only limited exposure to Hyper-V may not be suitable for this requirement.

Work Arrangement

• 100% onsite at the client location in Singapore
• 24x7 production support environment
• Candidates must be comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays according to the project roster.
