Qualifications

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated experimental design experience for microfluidic systems and quantitative characterization.
  • Hands-on expertise in prototype design, fabrication, and validation of microfluidic diagnostic devices.
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills for device performance evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fixed-term contract is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and optimize passive microfluidic devices for plasma separation and sensor integration.
  • Characterize separation performance across conditions and assess robustness.
  • Develop scalable workflows and testing protocols for prototyping and transfer.
  • Plan experiments and analyze data using appropriate software.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to integrate microfluidics with biosensing platforms.
  • Prepare publications, technical reports, and conference materials.
  • Stay updated on advances in microfluidics and biomedical diagnostics.
