Job description

  • MNC BioScience work environment

  • Stable with progression work status

  • 12 hours rotational shift (every 2 monthly)with attractive shift allowances

  • Other allowances like transport allowance, shift allowance and day shift allowances plus completion bonus, AWS and VB (upon conversion)

  • Yearly contract role (Highly Convertible and Renewable)

  • Training provided

  • Work location in Tuas with transport pick up from Boon Lay, Jurong, CCK, Woodlands, Sengkang, Paya Lebar and Bedok

Job scopes:

  • Perform all testing activities and result reviewing associated with batch release and environmental monitoring.

  • Develops knowledge in area of specialization and applies basic knowledge of set of procedures and processes pertaining to own area.

  • Develops elementary understanding of broader interdependencies while growing knowledge in area of specialization.

  • Performance equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure smooth laboratory operation.

  • Completes a variety of assignments.

  • Ability to recognize if deviation from accepted practice and procedure is required.

  • Uses established tools and procedures to solve task-related problems: Identifies and resolves routine and recurring problems.

  • Monitors and tracks resolution of issues.

  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

  • Priorities set by others and works according to pre-determined deadlines.

  • Organizes and completes tasks according to assigned priorities.

  • Contributes to own team/ closely related teams through accuracy of own work.

  • Understands team objectives and service requirements.

  • Exchanges job related information to provide routine support on an ongoing basis.

  • Ensure all operations in the laboratory are carried out in a safe and productive manner, adhering to GMP/ GLP and ISO/ IEC 17025 standards at all times.

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills and experience required

  • Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline or Nitec with at least 1 to 3 year experience

  • Working knowledge of GMP/GLP in food/pharmaceutical manufacturing, with emphasis on laboratory operations

  • Training provided

  • Knowledge of ISO 9000/17025 and HACCP would be advantageous.

  • A high degree of computer literacy and experience with ERP, LIMS and CDS systems would be advantageous.

  • Basis knowledge in laboratory instrumentation

  • Practical experience in working in a fast-pace laboratory environment with tight datelines and able to solve problems in a speedy and methodical manner with good follow-up on action item
