Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a Compliance Data Analysis professional to strengthen regulatory reporting through data analytics. You will work with large datasets, build dashboards in Power BI, and automate data collection and transformation using Python.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet BCBS 239 standards, apply SQL queries, and drive data governance initiatives while improving data processes across the bank.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience developing data analytics solutions.
• Experience with Python and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Strong SQL, data mining and statistical analysis skills.
• Knowledge of AI-based predictive algorithms, ML, NLP and data science.
• Ability to work with unstructured data and parallel databases.

• Conduct data analysis and automate data collection, transformation and aggregation to generate analytical reports using Python and/or similar technologies.
• Create and implement interactive dashboards with Power BI for Compliance reporting and data analysis.
• Utilize SQL for data querying and manipulation tasks.
• Work with Big Data platforms, including Starburst.
• Develop and manage data models to meet business requirements.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and regulatory reporting standards (BCBS 239).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Continuously enhance data processes and workflows.
• Drive and implement Data Analytics in digital processes.
• Represent Compliance as a Data Steward and contribute to Data Governance initiatives.
• Contribute to Business impact assessments for Compliance and FCC data changes upstream.

Who you are

• You will have 3 to 5 years’ experience developing data analytics solutions.
• Experience in design, development and implementation of data analytics solutions using Python and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Good knowledge in statistical analysis, data mining and processing, knowledge of SQL, Python or other analytics tools are essential.
• Good knowledge in Artificial Intelligence based predictive algorithm, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), data science and data mining.
• Ability to work with unstructured data, parallel databases and parallel query processing.
• Attention to detail is essential to identify potential compliance gaps or issues.
• Develop strong analytical skills to assess risks, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.
• Actively participate in compliance projects and initiatives and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the compliance framework.
