Job summary
A global technology company in Singapore seeks a candidate to utilize CAD models to validate supplier parts and automate metrology workflows. The role focuses on applying ASME Y14.5 GD&T concepts, leading digitization efforts, and collaborating on smart factory technologies. Responsibilities
- Utilizes Applied Materials’ Drawings and CAD models to Validate Supplier Parts to the Part Print.
- Programs Parts on Various Inspection Equipment – Examples: Calypso, GOM, QVPak.
- Applies ASME Y14.5 GD&T Concepts and Fundamentals for Dimensional Inspection of Supplier Parts.
- Conveys Out of Tolerance Data to Engineering for Part Disposition.
- Communicates Methods of Inspection to Suppliers Including; Tools used, Set-up methods and Datum Establishment, for Alignment/Collaboration.
- Acts as a Feedback Conduit to Design Engineering for Dimensioning and Tolerancing on Critical Parts.
- Provides Feedback to Supplier to Improve Manufacturing Method.
- Uses Statistical Processes to Make Process Improvements – Gage R&R, Design of Experiments, etc.
- Develops Best Known Methods for Supply Base and Internal Metrology.
- Writes Procedures to Document Metrology Methods and Best Known Methods.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and offer insights on measurement uncertainties.
- Maintain measurement procedures and calibration records in accordance with Iso and quality standards.
- Lead initiatives to digitize and automate metrology workflows, integrating IoT-enabled inspection tools and real-time data analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement smart factory technologies such as digital twins, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven quality control in the metrology lab.
