The Role
You are responsible for optimizing space allocation, managing pricing strategies, and coordinating promotional activities to drive profitability and sales growth. This role involves ensuring compliance with guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs), monitoring trade promotion income, and leveraging market trends to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Space Buy Management
Inventory and assign Trade and Space Buy areas to relevant stakeholders
Ensure Space Buy areas are executed and fully utilized in stores
Generate reports for unsold areas and suggest alternatives for low-footfall stores
Opportunity & Profit Optimization
Identify new revenue opportunities within Space Buy
Monitor and track income recovery against targets
Data & Policy Compliance
Coordinate with commercial teams for planning
Generate reports for unsold space and ensure timely communication to stores
Ensure adherence to planogram guidelines; non-planogram items <10% of total
Conduct regular price checks and monitor key price indicators (CPI/KVI)
Manage price basket tracking across banners
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Share space availability with commercial and supply planning teams
Maintain accurate Space Buy records and inventory with Merchandise Planning
Innovation & Marketing
Market and manage Space Buy (CTP) space to boost visibility and profitability
Store Support & Ad-Hoc Duties
Schedule weekly store visits to check execution and compliance
Support festive and ad-hoc promotions
Assist with business queries and other assigned tasks
Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and space utilization reports.
Meticulous and well-organized, with strong attention to detail and execution timelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup, formulas, etc).
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
