Job summary

Ask & Embla, a Singapore-based jewelry brand, seeks a Merchandising Intern to support data tasks, reporting, and coordination. You'll learn how product, sales, and inventory decisions are made and gain exposure to assortment planning and cross-functional workflows in our fashion jewelry niche.

You'll work with sales data, help with trend analysis, and assist in pricing, stock, and launches while developing practical skills in merchandising, e-commerce, and retail operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Strong interest in merchandising, retail, e-commerce, fashion, or jewelry.
• Comfortable working with numbers and basic data tasks.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
• Able to support multiple tasks and communicate clearly with different teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing basic sales and performance reports across channels.
• Help extract, clean, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Update reporting templates and maintain recurring reports.
• Support the Merchandising team in identifying trends or performance shifts.
• Help compile product performance recaps and post launch learnings.
• Conduct simple research on jewelry trends and competitor pricing.
• Assist in gathering inputs for pricing analysis and assortment reviews.
• Support SKU creation, product data entry, and system maintenance.
• Assist in purchase order preparation and tracking.
• Help monitor stock levels and flag low stock or out of stock risks.
• Track product launches and delivery timelines.
• Prepare product data needed for marketing launches and campaigns.
• Assist in coordinating with Production and Operations teams on stock or intake updates.
• Support sample tracking, product updates, and other administrative tasks.
• Help gather information on competitor pricing, new launches, and category trends.
• Compile findings into simple reports for the team.

Job description

The Merchandising Intern supports the Merchandising team with day to day data tasks, reporting, and coordination. This role is ideal for students or fresh graduates who are analytical, organized, and interested in understanding how product, sales, and inventory decisions are made in a fashion or jewelry brand. You will learn how to work with sales data, support assortment planning, and contribute to cross functional workflows that help keep our product operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

Sales Analysis and Reporting

• Assist in preparing basic sales and performance reports across channels
• Help extract, clean, and organize data from multiple sources
• Update reporting templates and maintain recurring reports
• Support the Merchandising team in identifying trends or performance shifts

Assortment and Product Support

• Help compile product performance recaps and post launch learnings

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field

• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
• Able to support multiple tasks and communicate clearly with different teams

Preferred

• Experience with school projects, internships, or part time roles involving data or analysis
• Familiarity with retail or e-commerce metrics is a plus
• Interest in jewelry, fashion, or consumer behavior
