Job summary

Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to coordinate and supervise the installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of permanent MEP systems for building and infrastructure projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure MEP works comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, with preference for

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant MEP engineering experience.
• Experience with permanent building MEP systems: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, sewerage.
• Preferred: underground/MRT/tunnel construction experience.
• Familiar with MEP drawings, site coordination, inspections, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the installation of permanent MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, sewerage).
• Coordinate SEM drawings with civil/structural, Design, BIM, and other building services teams.
• Review MEP/SEM drawings and submissions for compliance with requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team to resolve issues.
• Monitor site progress and ensure MEP works meet drawings, specs, quality standards and schedules.
• Coordinate site inspections, testing and commissioning, and defect rectification.
• Prepare and follow up on MEP and SEM submissions, inspection requests, and docs.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, codes of practice, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and MEP coordination challenges promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager or supervisor.
