Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales promotion, developing strategies, planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of corporate events, conferences, and meetings for local clients, starting from Singapore and expanding to other countries.

A sales team will be created under the supervision of the individual to expand the Local M&E business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since this is a new position, integrity, vision, and passion are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for meeting and event services in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Identify and pursue new M&E business opportunities in Singapore and other Asia-Pacific countries.
  • Build and manage a sales team specializing in Local Meeting and Events.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies and industries.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote services and generate leads.
  • Maintain records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions.
  • Provide sales forecasts and reports to management.
  • Plan and manage various events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate meetings.
  • Develop marketing materials for events.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and obtain necessary permits.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in the APAC region.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Business-level proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in hospitality or event sales, preferably in APAC.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the M&E industry in APAC.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across APAC countries.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of business practices in various APAC countries.
  • Japanese speaking ability is an advantage for communication with HQ and colleagues.
