Job description

Job Level & compensation offered may vary depending on candidates? experiences and competencies.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen reception, preparation, and packing of specimens
• Assist with telephone reception duties and ensure patients? bills are accurate and correct
• Carry out specimen analysis, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the analysers and validation of results
• Able to troubleshoot and explain basic problems and escalate when required
• Knowledgeable on Quality Control (QC) (eg. Westgard, criteria, EQA) and verification of QC results and assist to troubleshoot issues
• Adhere to the department?s standard operating procedures and safety requirements
• Assist in the supervision and guiding of junior staff
• Revise or write new SOP.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in assigned technical area/bench.
• Experience in Special Chemistry laboratory testing (protein electrophoresis, esoteric Immunology testing), quality assurance, laboratory audit and accreditation, or data analytics will be an advantage.
• Candidates with significant years of relevant work experience can be considered for senior position.
• Bachelor?s degree in any healthcare discipline, with a combination of work experience / training.
• Prior work experience in CRO / central laboratory setting will be an advantage.
• Able to handle high workload in a fast-paced environment with good problem solving skills.
• Possesses positive work attitude and is responsible, meticulous, and efficient
• Works well independently, in a team and/or in a leadership role
• Comfortable with OT and working on PH/weekends (if required only).
