Job summary

A leading company in the drilling industry is looking for a Laboratory Technician in Singapore. You will perform analytical tests on human samples, ensuring adherence to quality assurance protocols. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Biomedical Science and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma required in Biomedical Science/Medical Technology.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Basic knowledge of ULTRA LIS is advantageous.

Job Description

• Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data for optimal diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease states.
• Perform routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adhere to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
• Correlate clinical information and/or previous lab results and reports discrepancies to HOD.
• Consult with HOD when no preset criteria for decision making are available before taking action
• Participate in developmental work on new tests
• Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment.
• Attend and participates in continuing education programs to monitor proficiency, expand current knowledge and enhance professional excellence.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Biomedical Science/ Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab environment.
• Computer literate, basic knowledge & skills in ULTRA LIS will be an added advantage
• Team player with positive working and learning attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
