Medical Social Worker

Location: Central Region
Employment Type: Full-time, 5-day work week
Salary Range: $3,700 – $4,200/month
Contract Type: Permanent / Renewable Contract

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide holistic psychosocial-spiritual support to patients living with dermatological conditions. You’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to empower patients, connect them to appropriate resources, and promote psychosocial wellbeing through education and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments and provide effective intervention for patients.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to refer patients for financial assistance and support programmes.

• Plan, facilitate, and evaluate patient support groups and community outreach initiatives.

• Deliver psychoeducation to patients, caregivers, and the public through workshops, talks, and seminars.

• Contribute to department or organisation-wide projects and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work from a recognised institution.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant social work experience in a healthcare or clinical setting.

• Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling is an added advantage.

• Strong assessment, counselling, and case management skills.

• Empathetic, resourceful, and a strong team player.
