Job description

Bovis Medical Scientific is a leading medical distributor specialising in orthopaedics and sports medicine. We are the distributor for some of the global top United States and European medical brands. As part of our expansion, we’re looking for an experienced and drivenSales Managerto help scale our client base across Singapore and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small team of product specialists effectively

  • Collaborate with your team members to strategise, achieve higher sales targets and resolve any customer service issues

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our customers such as doctors, nurses, clinicians, P&O, rehab therapists etc

  • Front-facing sales role: be able to market and pitch products to clinicians

  • Develop sales and marketing strategies to maintain and grow our market presence

  • Be able to do presentations and training workshops in hospitals

  • Track competitor activities and industry trends to formulate new strategies

  • Liaise with our overseas suppliers – opportunities for overseas meetings and collaborations

Requirements:

  • Good communication and negotiation skills in English; comfortable with speaking to an audience, engaging with medical professionals

  • Minimum 3 years experience in medical industry – did sales for medical devices, past experience as nurse, physiotherapist, rehab therapist etc; we would prefer someone that is familiar with a hospital setting and possess some medical knowledge

  • Experience in managing a team; resolving conflicts, motivating sales team members

  • Experience in marketing and sales; ability to pitch a product and see market gaps

  • Positive, pro-active and friendly attitude; enjoys interacting with and meeting new people

  • Sales role, so it would not be a desk-bound job

  • We would focus more on your intrinsic abilities to lead a team and to help us drive sales, therefore no strict requirements on educational background

  • Possess a Class 3/3A license; comfortable with driving

What a day-to-day would look like:

· Sales meeting with team members, checking in with their leads, customer feedback, any opportunities

· Develop and implement sales strategies – new customers/new areas that we can compete in

· Tag along with team members to meet doctors, nurses and pitch products/gain feedback on products; ensure good relationships with our customers

· Liaise with management: update on sales targets, identify areas that requires support

· Attend to any urgent customer requests such as fitting of medical devices on patients (not frequent)

· Lead and do presentations when hospitals invite us over for workshops or booths (not frequent)

· Video meetings with our overseas suppliers for sales meetings or technical trainings (not frequent)

· Meet and host overseas partners if they visit us in Singapore during working hours (not frequent)

· Attend overseas sales meetings or trainings with our partners; represent the company for networking events, meet other international distributors (not frequent)

Remuneration:

  • Basic Salary: starting from $4,500, depending on experience

  • Transport Allowance

  • Attendance Incentive

  • Performance Incentive

  • Annual Medical and Dental Fee

  • 15 days Annual Leave per year

  • Standard Sick Leave & Hospitalization & Child Care leave, Marriage leave, Paternity, Maternity Leave

Working Hours: 5 days

  • Monday to Friday – 9 am to 5.30 pm

  • Off Day - Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
