Job summary

SAA, part of the Surbana Jurong (SJ) Group, is seeking an experienced Healthcare Architect to develop medical planning concepts and space programs, coordinating with clinicians, architects, engineers and specialist consultants.

You will review healthcare guidelines and support projects from briefing through design development, delivering patient-centered environments that connect communities and enhance clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Medical Planning, Healthcare Design, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in healthcare planning and/or healthcare architecture.
• Strong knowledge of hospital operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare facility planning principles.
• Experience in healthcare projects from briefing through design development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Develop medical planning concepts, departmental layouts, functional briefs, and space programs.
• Coordinate with clients, clinicians, architects, engineers, and specialist consultants.
• Prepare room data sheets, workflow analyses, adjacency diagrams, and planning reports.
• Support healthcare projects through feasibility, planning, design, and implementation stages.
• Review healthcare guidelines, standards, and operational requirements to inform design solutions.

• Degree in Architecture, Medical Planning, Healthcare Design, or related discipline.

• Experience in healthcare projects from briefing through design development.
