Job summary

SAA Architects Pte Ltd invites you to join a global design team dedicated to creating meaningful urban spaces. You will work under the Project Director / Architect with responsibilities spanning design, documentation, code analysis, and coordinating with consultants to meet project objectives.

Fresh graduates are welcome; senior candidates may be considered for the Senior Architectural Assistant role. You will engage in modelling with Revit, CAD and BIM workflows, and contribute to tender

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related field and solid CAD/BIM experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp and Revit for design and documentation.
• Familiarity with planning codes and building regulations; ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks assigned by Project Director/Architect to meet project objectives with quality.
• Support design, technical coordination, and code/regulatory compliance.
• Manage feasibility and design phases of projects.
• Analyse site data and assist in documentation during design.
• Coordinate with consultants on design and building regulations.
• Assist with procurement, tenders, and contract documentation.
• Attend site/consultant meetings and coordinate with team members.
• Model using Revit/CAD or draft sketches; leverage digital tools for pre-design phases.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform all works assigned by the Project Director / Associate / Architect to meet the established project objectives diligently, ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards
• Support the Project Director / Associate / Architect on all matters pertaining to design, technical, and application of building code and regulations
• Manage feasibility and design phases of the project
• Analyse data obtained from site analyses
• Assist in documentation during the stages of conceptual and detailed design development
• Liaise with consultants on matters of design, and technical coordination issues, and building regulations
• Assist with documentation and building tenders, and administer standard forms of contracts
• Gather necessary information for work approvals based on regulatory and legislative prerequisites
• Assist in procurement activities
• Attend site or consultant meetings on matters of design, technical coordination issues, and building regulations
• Work and coordinate with team members on collective assignments
• Perform modelling using Revit or CAD, or manual drafting of sketch drawings
• Leverage digital tools and platforms as well as data from computational models to assist with the pre-design and design phases

Pre-requisites and Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Architectural Studies, BA (AS), BSc, BArch
• Well-versed in design, CAD, and 3D modelling software and technologies such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, BIM software (Revit), Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office
• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding and application of planning and building codes and regulations
• Organised, meticulous, and analytical
• Possesses initiative, works methodically and autonomously, and has good time management skills to meet challenging deadlines and client briefs
• Has an open and highly collaborative mindset and approach
