Job description

What the role is:

This role is to guide the rationalisation and translation of medical policies into operational policies and strategic plans to prepare for ground implementation in the case of healthcare crisis and other emergencies.

What you will be working on:

  1. Forward planning for longer-term healthcare operations and capabilities to support future crises.
  2. Medical and clinical support to facilitate tight integration between medical policies and operational policies in MOH, acting as the bridge between clinical and operational stakeholders to enable operations to function optimally with minimal compromises.
  3. Provide clinical guidance on medical issues pertaining to operations such as testing performance, vaccination requirements, quarantine protocols, and medical policies for telemedicine services.
  4. Provide medical advice on clinical matters arising from quarantine operations.
  5. Provide clinical guidance for the optimal design and setup of new Healthcare Preparedness Facilities, ensuring efficient operational workflows.

What we are looking for:

  • Registered medical practitioner
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the public or relevant private healthcare sector
  • Prior experience in policy development, strategic planning, and/or operation implementation in healthcare is an asset
  • Analytical, people-oriented individuals with strong communication and writing skills
  • Ability to think strategically and analyse complex issues to propose innovative solutions
  • Effective at building relationships, communicating persuasively, and resolving differences amicably to achieve win-win outcomes
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and adapt in fast-changing environments
  • Independent, resourceful, and driven to complete tasks
