Job summary

National Neuroscience Institute's Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory (TTSH Campus) in Singapore is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist. You will perform routine and specialised testing for clinical diagnosis, including ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, histology, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry, and participate in specimen processing and QC.

The role requires a degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, or Medical Technology.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in a clinical/diagnostic laboratory, particularly in immunology, immunoassays or ELISA, is advantageous.
• Experience with immunofluorescence and/or immunoblot techniques is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently after appropriate training and demonstrate good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fresh graduates with relevant laboratory training may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialised laboratory testing for clinical diagnosis, including ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, histology, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry.
• Participate in specimen processing, quality control, equipment and reagent management, documentation, and laboratory quality activities.

Job Responsibilities

A Medical Laboratory Technologist / Scientist position is available in the Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory (TTSH Campus) at the National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore.

The Neuroscience Clinical Laboratory provides specialised laboratory services supporting the diagnosis of neurological, neuromuscular and neuroimmunological disorders. Our services include muscle and nerve biopsy histopathology and a range of immunological tests for autoantibodies associated with neurological diseases.

As part of the team, you will perform routine and specialised laboratory testing for clinical diagnosis, including ELISA, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, histology, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry. You will also participate in specimen processing, quality control, equipment and reagent management, documentation, laboratory quality activities and other operational duties required for the delivery of laboratory services.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or equivalent.
