Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences/Medical Technology.
• Preferably with some relevant experience in Haematology.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• Team player as well as able to work independently.
• Good working attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to do detailed work and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Able to take up challenges.
• Good general health and no colour blindness.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adequately maintain accurate records and follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Calibrate, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments.
• Process, analyze, verify, and release results within turnaround time.
• Ensure compliance with Laboratory SOPs and Safety Manual.
• Maintain competence in Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Escalate lab issues to supervisors or management promptly.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement and Proficiency Programs.

• Duties includeworkinginpre-analytical, analytical, maintenance, andtroubleshootingoflaboratory instrumentation, technical validationandinventory management.
• Operatesandmaintains sophisticated instrumentsandequipment usedinthelaboratory.
• Abletoproperly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate,andshut downtheanalytical instruments.
• Performallproceduresinaccordance with Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Process, analyze, verify, and release results within the expected turnaround time.
• Ensure compliance withallrequirementsoftheLaboratory Safety Manual.
• Ensure that “critical value”lab results arereportedpromptly to the relevant personnel, as well as resolve queriesfromcustomers as needed.
• Maintains competence in Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Maintains a safeandcleanworkingenvironmentby adheringtosafety proceduresandregulations.
• ParticipatesinQuality Improvement Programs and Proficiency Programs essentialtoensure that laboratory testingisaccurate, timely, andmeets customer needs.
• Escalates lab issues to supervisors or lab management promptly
• Any other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Work Week:3 weeks 5 days, 1 week 6 days

• Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm OR 1.30pm to 10.30 PM
• Saturday: 10.00 am to 7.00 pm (3 Saturdays off,1 Saturday Full)
