Singapore General Hospital is seeking a qualified biomedical scientist to run routine haematology, coagulation and urine tests in our clinical haematology laboratory. You will operate and troubleshoot instrumentation, perform morphology analysis for diagnostics and support equipment validation, QA and inventory management per our safety guidelines.
The role requires a degree in Biomedical/Biological Science or Medical Technology, 3+ years in diagnostic haematology, and the ability to work
The main duty of this position is to run routine haematology, coagulation and urine laboratory tests on patient samples in a clinical haematology laboratory. Your duties will include working with routine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation. You will also be expected to perform morphology analysis for diagnostic purposes.
Other responsibilities may include technical equipment validation, quality assurance and inventory management in compliance with our organization’s technical and safety guidelines.
Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or its equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in diagnostic haematology laboratory including assessment of morphology findings in patient samples.
Able to work independently as well as a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good team player with strong communication skills.
You are required to work 3 rotating shifts, including staggered and extended working hours, coverage after hours, weekends and public holidays to meet the hospital needs.
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
