Job Description

We are looking for a highly committed, dynamic and driven individual to join the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at the Singapore General Hospital.

1. Perform routine or complex laboratory investigations on biological specimens using a wide range of specialized equipment according to established policies/procedures and quality assurance practices.
2. Ensure that accurate and high-quality laboratory test results are reported and communicated in a timely manner.
3. Apply scientific knowledge and technical skills to support and troubleshoot laboratory test procedures, analyzer maintenance, and workflow and operational issues.
4. Participate in development of new and/or innovative laboratory tests and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies for laboratory testing.
5. Provide training to laboratory personnel on laboratory test procedures.
6. Lead team members in specified laboratory functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

1. Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Clinical Laboratories.
2. Candidates with significant years of relevant work experience will be considered for senior positions.
3. Experience in Specialized Chemistry laboratory testing (HPLC, LC-MS/MS, ICPMS, Protein Electrophoresis) will be an advantage.
4. Possesses a positive work attitude and is responsible, meticulous, and efficient.
5. Works well independently, in a team, and/or in a leadership role.
6. Has good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform rotating shifts.
