Overview
As a Medical Informatics Specialist, you will provide support for the organization’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. You will also provide assistance to the system build, enhancement, and other related services, all aimed at providing patients with seamless and secured medical information.

Responsibilities

  1. Support the running of the EMR System by performing analysis, design, development, and maintenance of the hospital EMR application systems.
  2. Provide training to users for safe, efficient, and effective use of the EMR System.
  3. Configure vendor applications and products, maintain system documentation, and develop system specifications and procedures.
  4. Liaise with internal stakeholders to learn and understand user department practices and procedures, to define and document user requirements, and to audit the data entered by end users.
  5. Provide maintenance and assistance to EMR-related requests such as performing system testing, developing and preparing test plans and data, and providing on-site user support during implementation.
  6. Be responsible for on-call system application support at scheduled times to troubleshoot and track issues.
  7. Apply systems development methodology to solve problems and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  8. Adhere to guidelines and follow change management processes, using clear oral and written communications.
  9. Provide support in workgroups and committees by being a team representative as necessary.
  10. Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Academic Informatics Office.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy / Allied Health / Nursing, majoring in healthcare and equivalent, or computer science, arts, and business-related fields.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Proficient in English and at least one other local language.
  4. A team player with a positive attitude and openness to learn new skill sets (domains or tools).
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. No prior working experience required; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
