An established industry player is seeking a Medical Informatics Specialist to join their Group Medical Informatics Office. This role involves supporting the development and delivery of training programmes for the Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR) system. You will be responsible for liaising with users on data requests, producing SQL reports, and adhering to data governance policies. As a Medical Informatics Specialist (Data) in Group Medical Informatics Office, you will provide support in the development and delivery of NGEMR (Next Generation Electronic Medical Record) training programmes and the implementation of NGEMR System at NUHS. You are responsible for the following areas:
Job Description
Liaise with cluster users on data / report requests’ requirements
Produce / maintain SQL report scripts for servicing of data extraction / report requests as well as report fixes/changes
Develop, test and implement reports, metrics and dashboards within the build, testing and production environments
Abide and adhere to data governance policies in servicing data extraction / report requests as well as system processes of build procedures for the implementation of reports, metrics and dashboards
Participate in cluster meetings pertaining to Clarity database and data / report requirements
Support system enhancements, workflow changes and system version upgrades by reviewing system notes and conducting report-related tests in the various impacted environments
Perform admin/team duties as and when required
Ability to adhere to guidelines and follow change management process, by using clear oral and written communications.
Provide support in workgroups and committees by being a team representative as necessary
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Group Medical Informatics Office
Requirements
Min. Degree holder with good communication and numeracy skills
Proficient in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Some knowledge of SQL query scripting language or other similar programming language(s)
Responsible, resourceful and customer(user)-service oriented
Able to work in a team and collaborate with others
Willing to learn and undergo system certifications to qualify as cluster’s report builder
Adaptable to changes in system processes and/or work environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
