Job summary

Dyson seeks a biomedical science leader to translate evidence into business implications for oral care products and related portfolios. You will oversee health science engagements, adverse event vigilance, and post-market surveillance to ensure scientific credibility and compliance across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive medical education initiatives, and contribute to product development and market access strategies on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences or related field.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Oral Health Science, Clinical Research, Product Safety, Vigilance or related field.
• Ability to interpret clinical and scientific evidence and translate into credible communications.
• Strong understanding of adverse event reporting, vigilance and post-market surveillance.
• Experience engaging with healthcare professionals and KOLs.
• Excellent scientific writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment.

As part of the Global Product Regulations and Compliance team, this role provides strategic medical and scientific leadership for Dyson's oral care and adjacent product portfolios.

The role translates emerging scientific knowledge, clinical evidence and health research into clear business and product implications, supporting innovation, product classification, research, compliant product development, market access and post-market surveillance activities.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the role acts as a subject matter expert for health science and clinical benefits, while overseeing peer review processes and external scientific engagement. Role success ensures products remain scientifically robust, externally credible and compliant throughout their lifecycle.

About the role

Responsibilities (What)

• Assess emerging scientific evidence and healthcare trends relevant to Dyson's oral care and adjacent product portfolio.
• Evaluate clinical and scientific data, communicating implications to internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Conduct Adverse Event assessments, identify potential safety signals and maintain vigilance documentation in accordance with established QMS processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, universities and professional societies.
• Appraise clinical study proposals, evidence generation activities and interpretation of scientific data through formal peer-review processes.
• Commission and coordinate scientific publications, manuscripts, abstracts, posters and presentations.
• Review scientific communications, educational materials and professional content to ensure scientific accuracy and consistency.
• Deliver medical education activities and contribute scientific expertise to internal and external engagement programmes.
• Present scientific insights and emerging evidence to cross-functional stakeholders to support new product development activities

Leadership (How)

• Provide scientific leadership and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scientific accuracy, evidence-based decision making and compliance.
• Lead and participate in annual transformation projects, supporting alignment with Dyson's strategy, fostering accountability, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead vigilance activities, including adverse event assessment, signal detection, safety evaluation and documentation.
• Champion being One Dyson by working collaboratively across teams, communicating openly, building trusted relationships and taking shared accountability for successful outcomes.
• Mentor and develop colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing and capability building.

About you

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's, Master's, doctoral or professional qualification in dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, life sciences or a related healthcare discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Oral Health Science, Clinical Research, Product Safety, Vigilance or a closely related field within a healthcare, consumer health, medical device or pharmaceutical organisation.
• Demonstrable experience of interpreting clinical and scientific evidence and translating it into clear, accurate and credible communications for healthcare professionals and other scientific stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of adverse event reporting, vigilance and post-market surveillance requirements.
• Experience engaging with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and external scientific stakeholders.
• Excellent scientific writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to critically evaluate evidence and translate complex science into clear messages for business, consumer and professional audiences.
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment.
