Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have formal paramedic or nursing qualifications and relevant certificates.
• Experience with emergency transport and clinical decision-making is preferred.
• ACLS or LSCN certification is advantageous.
• Class 3 driving license is optional but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ medical conditions upon arrival by gathering vital signs and relevant information to guide care decisions
• Administer basic life support (BLS) including CPR, oxygen therapy, and bleeding control to stabilize patients
• Perform non-invasive procedures following established protocols to support patient care
• Monitor and document patient condition continuously throughout transport to maintain accurate clinical records
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families to improve patient experience
• Ensure ambulance is fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and medications to maintain operational readiness
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on medical equipment to ensure safety and reliability
• Maintain a clean and sanitized ambulance environment to uphold infection control standards
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, dispatch, and hospital staff regarding patient status and transport details
• Accurately document all patient care activities including assessments, interventions, and outcomes for legal and clinical compliance
• Maintain complete, confidential medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations
• Collaborate effectively with ambulance drivers and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care
• Participate actively in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices in emergency medical care

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Higher Nitec in Paramedic and Emergency Care, Diploma in Paramedicine, or Bachelor in Paramedic Science
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing registered with Singapore Nursing Board, with ACLS or LSCN certification
• Experience in SAF or SCDF emergency services to enhance operational readiness
• Class 3 driving license to support flexible operational roles (optional)

Required competencies and certifications

• UPEC certification (applicable to all applicants as a professional requirement for practice)

• This is a full-time role with potentially rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
