Qualifications

• Higher Nitec in Paramedic and Emergency Care or related degree.
• Nursing diploma/degree with ACLS or LSCN certification.
• UPEC certification required for practice.
• Experience in SAF or SCDF emergency services is preferred.
• Class 3 driving license is optional to support flexible roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition on arrival and gather vital signs to guide care decisions.
• Administer BLS including CPR, oxygen therapy, and bleeding control.
• Perform non-invasive procedures per established protocols to support care.
• Monitor and document patient condition throughout transport for accurate records.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families to improve experience.
• Ensure ambulance is stocked with necessary supplies and medications for readiness.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on medical equipment for safety.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized ambulance environment to uphold infection control.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, dispatch, and hospital staff about status and transport details.
• Document all care activities for legal and clinical purposes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ medical conditions upon arrival by gathering vital signs and relevant information to inform care decisions
• Administer basic life support (BLS) including CPR, oxygen therapy, and bleeding control to stabilize patients
• Perform non-invasive procedures according to established protocols to support patient care
• Monitor and document patient condition continuously throughout transport to ensure accurate clinical records
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families to enhance patient experience
• Ensure ambulance is fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and medications to maintain readiness
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on medical equipment to guarantee operational safety and reliability
• Maintain a clean and sanitized ambulance environment to uphold infection control standards
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, dispatch, and hospital staff regarding patient status and transport details
• Accurately document all patient care activities including assessments, interventions, and outcomes for legal and clinical purposes
• Maintain complete, confidential medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Collaborate effectively with ambulance drivers and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care
• Participate actively in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices in emergency medical care

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Higher Nitec in Paramedic and Emergency Care, Diploma in Paramedicine, or Bachelor in Paramedic Science
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing registered with Singapore Nursing Board, with ACLS or LSCN certification
• UPEC certification (applicable to all applicants as a professional requirement for practice)
• Experience in SAF or SCDF emergency services to enhance operational readiness
• Class 3 driving license to support flexible operational roles (optional)
