As Media Manager, South East Asia & Taiwan (SEAT) you will lead the transformation of Haleon SEAT towards an integrated & consumer first brand communication, media & engagement model. This is a critical strategic priority for the business & therefore a pivotal role in the organisation.

The Media Manager will be charged with delivering consistent gold standard media strategy and execution, effectively managing the investment, maximizing ROI, driving effective digital media plans across various brand market combinations and managing the variety of key stakeholders (management, finance, marketing) to deliver against business objectives and promote the key media effectiveness focus areas. The role is very much a combination of thinker and doer. At a BU level (sub-regional market grouping), the Media Manager will work closely with & report to SEAT Media, Digital & E-commerce Director to both conceive local strategy and execute the plans.

This key role offers the opportunity to play a central role in driving the growth of Haleon's power brands including Panadol, Sensodyne, Centrum and Caltrate across multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

The key accountabilities for the role are spread across the spectrum of leading strategy to Execution. These include:

  • Leverage deep knowledge of media to serve as the BUs’ expert voice in the subject
  • Lead media as a growth driver, providing functional expertise into key projects which are designed to drive consistent growth in the organization
  • Support the leadership team in media investment/sufficiency decisions.
  • Challenge our brand teams & media agency to develop more effective & efficient media plans
  • Deliver a business-driven mindset, working to connect how we plan and execute media to the way it can drive our business
  • Drive our media effectiveness agenda, working with markets to integrate effectiveness-based media approaches into plans and partnering with Consumer and Business Insights teams to help measure the business impact
  • Work closely with the Global team to embed centrally generated best practice media planning and buying guidelines, KPI’s and standardised reporting.
  • Provide the leadership in strategic thinking via the delivery of the Connections Plan/Media Plan based on the Marketing and communication objectives.
  • Ensure that the media agency operates at its full potential across all aspects of the business.
  • Have a working knowledge of the programmatic and overall AdTech space and players.

Requirements:

Leadership

  • Strategic thinking for alignment with Haleon’s longer term objectives. Able to make tough choices to drive a single-minded strategy.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building capabilities/organizations with very little definition.
  • Works well across different teams in different geographies and cultures

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in offline & online media, brand building, and communications.
  • In-depth understanding of the media markets (i.e., media cost dynamics, landscape, media usage trends, etc.) in SEAT markets
  • Experience in both media planning and buying along with a strong digital foundation is a requirement, with an ability to stay ahead of the ever-evolving media landscape would be a plus.
  • Conversant with all forms of digital formats and measurement

Critical Experiences

  • University Degree (B.Sc) either in Business, Marketing, Media or related discipline
  • Prior work experience in SEA markets
  • Ability to work across wide priorities
  • 5+ years of experience in media, able to demonstrate a deep understanding of media concepts both for offline and online channels
  • Sharp communication skills in English. Other relevant languages a plus
  • Experience in Media or Digital agencies / Advertisers Media Management department or Media Company / Media Research Agencies
  • Experience in healthcare/consumer healthcare/CPG communications field gained in-house or at a global agency, with understanding of regulatory environment a plus.
