A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a skilled technical support professional for product introductions in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechatronics and manufacturing processes, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to ensure high-quality production standards. This role involves managing change controls, facilitating collaboration, and implementing continuous improvements in operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of manufacturing processes with direct experience in mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in the semiconductor industry.
Knowledge in assembly of mechatronic systems, including linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, dynamics, and controls.
Experience with complex mechatronic systems for testing and qualification of design changes.
Exposure to multidisciplinary projects such as imaging/optical systems, semiconductor, or lithography is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong problem-solving skills for identifying issues and performing root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in reading and updating technical drawings.
Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities & Authorities
Provide technical support for new product introductions, including product improvements, component production, and the entire process of assembly and packaging.
Manage effective change control, including implementing Engineering Change Notices and obtaining customer approval for Engineering Change Requests.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments, providing feedback on manufacturability issues to design and NPI engineers.
Coordinate with customer personnel regarding product-related technical issues.
Train assembly teams and implement process improvements within production.
Develop and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures to ensure robustness, repeatability, and efficiency.
Manage customer documentation such as drawings and specifications.
Support pilot builds and production ramp-up, resolving manufacturing issues during transition and supporting tooling and equipment validation.
Ensure high-volume quality standards are met and participate in risk assessments like FMEA.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing data for trends and optimizations.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
