A leading company in the semiconductor industry is looking for a technical support specialist to oversee new product introductions and improve manufacturing processes. The role requires strong knowledge in mechanics and electronics, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to ensure cross-department collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of manufacturing processes with direct experience in mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics in the semiconductor industry.
Knowledge in assembly of mechatronic systems, including linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, dynamics, and controls.
Experience with complex mechatronic systems for testing and qualification of design changes.
Exposure to multi-disciplinary projects such as imaging/optical systems, semiconductor, or lithography is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in reading and updating technical drawings.
Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities & Authorities
Provide technical support for new product introduction, including product improvement, component production, and the entire assembly and packaging process.
Manage effective change implementation, including engineering change notices and customer approval for engineering change requests.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments, providing feedback on manufacturability issues to design and NPI engineers.
Coordinate with customer personnel on product-related technical issues.
Train assembly teams and implement improvements in production processes.
Develop and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures, ensuring robustness, repeatability, and efficiency.
Manage customer documentation such as drawings and specifications.
Support pilot builds and production ramps, resolving manufacturing issues during transitions and supporting tooling and equipment validation.
Ensure high-volume quality standards and regulatory compliance, develop quality control plans, and participate in FMEA and risk assessments.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, analyzing data for trends and process optimization.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.
