A leading water treatment company in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities. Qualifications

- Class 3 driving license is an added advantage.
- Highly preferable with equipment maintenance experience in related industries.

Job description
- Maintain mechanical equipment and facilities and to aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment;
- Responsible for the completion of all planned or unplanned mechanical maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of equipment (e.g. pumps, tank, piping, valves) as assigned;
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors;
- Fault-finding and repair of plant, systems and equipment;
- Participates in Risk Assessments as part of Permit to Work preparation;
- Interprets technical drawings and prepares reports on work done;
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined;
- Perform minor piping fabrication, modification
- Maintain all machine shop tools and equipment such as, and not limited to, welding set, working tooling, lifting gear, as required;
- Support equipment inspection with vendor representative on tanks, column, pipelines and centrifuge;
- Rebuilding valves, pumps, gearboxes and drives;
- Perform predictive maintenance activities e.g. vibration monitoring, infra-red thermography & etc;
- Complete all required in house training in a timely manner;
- Adhere and compliant with SHE rules;
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the works and/or services;
- All other duties and activities as directed by Supervisor
Requirement:
- Candidate must process at least a NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or equivalent
- Class 3 driving license an added advantage
- Able to work 44 hours week
- Highly preferable with equipment maintenance experience in Water and waste water treatment industries or chemical process industries. Entry Level candidate are encouraged to apply
