Mechanical Technician

Industry: Manufacturing/ Production
Location: Pioneer
Working Hours: 5.5 days work week (7am to 4:33pm, day shift / 7pm to 4:33am, Night Shift, Change shift every 3 weeks/ subject to the department schedule)
Basic up $2500 + Shift Allowances

Job Responsibilities

• To perform mechanical fitting job, machine assembly and maintenance, which requires knowledge of machine fits and tolerances.
• To lead a team of technicians in preventive maintenance, checking and inspection, troubleshooting, repairs and overhauls of machinery and equipment having assigned and allocated resources to meet targets through planned and scheduled annual maintenance activities.
• To carry out metal working for hot works.
• To execute welding work.
• To operate heavy machinery and perform lifting works.
• To read mechanical drawing.

Job Requirements/ Pre-requisites

• Candidate must possess at least secondary school education/ NITEC.
• Minimum 1-2 years in heavy industry/ metal fabrication shops/ machine maintenance.
• Experienced in mechanical works, hydraulics, pneumatics, cutting, grinding & welding.
• Able to work in hot & dusty environment.
• Be prepared to work at height 10 meters above & working in confined space.
• Able to read mechanical drawing.
• Candidate should possess basic knowledge of computer and data entry.
• Shift work required on rotating basis (Morning, Afternoon and Night).
