A leading multinational engine manufacturer in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs on engines at customer sites. This onsite position involves engaging with customers, ensuring maintenance of engines, and requires a vocational diploma and a Class 3 driving license. Candidates will also need basic field service experience and commitment to customer service. This role does not provide cross-border relocation support.

Qualifications

• Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
• Apprentice trained Engine Technician preferred.
• Locally valid Class 3 driving license is mandatory.

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Technician to join our team based in Tuas, Singapore. This is an Onsite role reporting to the Power Gen Service operation Manager. Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site. This role will also require travelling within Singapore.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to perform the following responsibilities:

• Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner.

• Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

• Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.

• Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.

• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Identifies additional service opportunities with customer.

• Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.

• Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

• Locally valid driving permit, Class 3 driving license will be mandate.

• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Basic level field service work experience

• Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

• Customer service experience

• Attend/ Standby emergency call after office hours/ Public holidays

• Require to attend the course for license certification

• Ready to be assigned to all applications

• No cross-border relocation support provided.
