Mechanical SME - Singapore - 12 Months Contract

Our client is currently seeking the skills of a Mechanical SME to join their team. They develop and deliver life-changing medicines globally, and with their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network expanding rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide. This is your opportunity to be involved!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Engage with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are understood and reflected in the CD design.
2. Prepare Project Technical Requirements Specification for all systems, specifying performance requirements & applicable Standards.
3. Ensure all relevant Specifications are delivered to the Design Contractor.
4. Define & agree with the Design Contractor the necessary design deliverables for all design stages (CD, BD, DD), including the Design Deliverables List specific to the project and review levels.
5. Review Contractor responses to the Project Technical Requirements to ensure requirements are correctly included.
6. Prepare Project-specific Technical Requirements for Package Equipment.
7. Attend project meetings as required.
8. Participate in and recommend procurement strategies for technical work packages, including pre-qualification/contractor selection and scope of contracts.
9. Produce regular Design Assurance Reports to ensure ongoing technical alignment.
10. Identify value engineering opportunities.
11. Ensure key SHE and GMP compliance requirements are reflected in the design deliverables.

Desirable Experience:

1. Mechanical background, preferably in pharma or bio industries.
2. HVAC background, including fresh air supply and extraction systems.
3. Experience reviewing design schedules.
4. Previous project experience.
5. Experience working in GMP environments.
