Job summary

A prominent company in marine services is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to perform servicing and repairs on pumps and compressors. The role involves project management, supervising teams, and executing repairs under pressure while maintaining excellent customer relations. Successful candidates will possess a solid background in mechanical engineering, ideally with maritime experience and strong technical reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position, preferably within maritime industries.
• Able to write detailed technical reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and service machinery including cargo compressors and pumps.
• Supervise yard workers and organize repair tasks on board.
• Finalize service reports and ensure safety compliance.

Job description

Job Description:

• Perform service and overhaul of Svanehoj supported products including machinery like cargo compressors, Svanehoj pumps and safety relief valves.
• Supervise yard workers assigned during the repair.
• Organize the repair / mechanical tasks on board along with gas engineer.
• Finalize detailed service report after completion of each job.
• Build a good relationship with our customers on-site.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to company safety and environmental guidelines and customer procedures.
• Mechanical inspection, repair and troubleshooting of entire pump range.
• Carry out vibration and laser alignment measurements (instruction and training will be provided).
• Writing of reports for carried out inspections, repair, service, and overhaul jobs.
• Willingness to carry out mechanical service, repair, and overhaul under extreme pressure.
• Travelling activity globally.

Requirements:

Education & Qualification:

• Mechanical Engineer, or similar.

Experience:

• Commercial mindset with experience from similar position.
• Service mindset with minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position, preferablywithin the maritime industries.

• Strong team player who manage to get people working together across functions and locations.
