Mechanical Service Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate between Ship Repair Managers and Ship Representative in planned and corrective maintenance onboard.
• Supervise and ensure safety of vessel maintenance and repair works.
• Lead a team of Technicians, Assistant Engineers, and Engineers to perform repair and maintenance onboard ships or in the workshop.
• Carry out troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical/diesel defects.
• Perform joint inspection and acceptance with ship representative.
• Hands-on work in rectification of defects and maintenance of mechanical components.
• Ensure quality of work performed by oneself and the team.
• Assist in logistic support and lifting of equipment and workshop equipment.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Offshore Engineering.
• Knowledgeable in using IMTE Tools such as Torque Wrench, Pressure gauges, Internal and External Micrometer.
• Knowledgeable in depicting mechanical schematic diagrams and 2D drawings.
• Work closely with ship representatives.
• Willing and able to work under pressure and overtime if required.
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Willing and able to perform hands-on work.
• Able to work in a shipyard environment – heat, grease, dust.
• Training will be provided to candidates without prior experience to achieve competency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Only Singapore Citizens will be considered for this role.

• 5-day work week.
• Working Hours: 7.45am-5pm.
