Job description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Capture detailed disassembly photos for documentation as requested by customers.

  • Perform disassembly to support cost estimation, including reviewing parts lists and standard replacement components.

  • Assemble products using both new and reusable parts.

  • Conduct flat-rate and time & material repairs, basic disassembly, and component evaluations to restore product functionality.

  • Troubleshoot and identify root causes of product failures, comparing findings against standards and escalating when necessary.

  • Assist in setting up repairs and functional tests.

  • Communicate evaluation results to testers through written documentation and/or images.

Support Functions:

  • Provide technical input regarding the usability of obsolete products transitioning to replacements.

  • Monitor inventory levels of repair parts and coordinate with the repair team for stock replenishment.

  • Collaborate with customer service to address inquiries, including gathering material and labor data from internal systems.

  • Participate in engineering assessments for repair or remanufacturing decisions.

  • Work with engineering teams to define repair strategies and scopes.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ability to diagnose product conditions using acceptance criteria or historical data.

  • Proficient in following work instructions via various formats (PowerPoint, MIS, EFMS, BDDS, APs).

  • Basic understanding of root cause analysis and failure investigation tools.

  • Familiarity with technical documentation such as schematics, build books, and bills of materials.

  • Competent in using computer systems and software (e.g., EFMS, WISE) for documentation and tracking.

  • Solid knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and hydraulics.

  • Ability to suggest improvements to work instructions and assembly documentation.
