Job description

Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives on delivering complex projects in the chemical or process industry? We are hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a reputable company as part of its expansion plan.

This role offers a unique opportunity to take charge of engineering activities from detailed design to commissioning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and on-site contractors. You'll be based on Jurong Island, with transport provided near Jurong East MRT.

  • Location: Jurong Island

The Job

  • Manage full lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects - from detailed design to site commissioning and handover.
  • Review technical drawings and contractor specs, ensuring project alignment.
  • Develop execution plans, allocate resources, and manage risks proactively.
  • Act as the on-site liaison between internal teams and contractors for supervision and safety.
  • Solve technical challenges and drive timely resolution of site issues.
  • Lead coordination across engineering disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site and vendor inspections, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare reports on progress, budgets, and technical outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement in project planning and delivery.

The Talent

  • Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Project Engineering experience in mechanical scope within EPC for chemical/process plants.
  • Familiarity with mechanical standards and codes such as ASME, API, TEMA, and local Singapore codes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments.
  • Willing to travel or be posted overseas for long-term assignments when needed.
  • Open to Fresh Graduates
