Job summary

Illumina Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an engineering professional to support product transfer, NPI, and ongoing manufacturing operations. You will optimize quality, yield, and costs through data-driven analysis and DOE/FMEA methods, collaborating across functions and sites.

This role emphasizes process improvements, documentation rigor, and compliance, with occasional travel to CM sites to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficiency in CAD systems (SolidWorks/Creo) with GD&T/DFMA knowledge.
• Working knowledge of FMEA, DOE, SPC and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with PLM (Teamcenter) and ERP (SAP/Oracle).
• Advanced Excel and statistical tools (Minitab/JMP).
• Life sciences/biotech/medical device experience preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and clear documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Data-driven, root-cause driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support product transfer into manufacturing and NPI.
• Perform data trending and analysis.
• Apply FMEA, DOE, and SPC to optimize quality and costs.
• Drive process improvements and cost reduction.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests and validations.
• Support documentation: drawings, BOMs, test reports, procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and quality programs.
• Collaborate across functions; travel to other sites as needed.
