Mechanical & Process Engineering Lead (Water Treatment)

Our client is a leader in the Water Treatment industry in Singapore. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Mechanical & Process Engineering Lead to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities

1. Review and resolve technical queries with clients.
2. Understand project scope and client contract requirements.
3. Prepare philosophies for control, startup, and shutdown processes.
4. Perform sizing and hydraulic calculations for equipment and pipelines.
5. Prepare datasheets for instruments and mechanical equipment.
6. Develop PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, and Cause & Effect diagrams.
7. Create reports such as process design summaries, utility breakdowns, and vent/drain documentation.
8. Work closely with other engineering teams to align process inputs.
9. Provide inputs for equipment lists, load data, and inter-discipline deliverables.
10. Collect and analyze process data to support trend analysis.
11. Support detailed design through to commissioning and testing stages.
12. Track client feedback and support changes or variation orders when needed.
13. Compile design packages and assist with document submissions.
14. Coordinate with engineers for latest updates and maintain organized records.
15. Participate in project and coordination meetings to address technical issues.
16. Contribute to operations, pre-commissioning, and commissioning manuals.
17. Prepare training and handover manuals for contractors and end users.
18. Conduct water treatment process studies and analysis.
19. Review and comment on vendor documents to meet design requirements.
20. Update project team on the schedule of process-related deliverables.
21. Ensure process drawings and lessons learned are properly updated and recorded.
22. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirement

1. Min Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
2. At least 8 years of experience in Water and Waste Treatment or Oil and Gas onshore/offshore experience.
3. Knowledge in designing of complex industrial water treatment systems
4. Experience in project management / plant testing & commissioning / facility setup will be an added advantage
5. Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, good report writing skills
6. Willing to travel overseas
