Job summary

A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to manage maintenance schedules and workflows in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and has substantial experience in maintenance roles within Power Plants or Refineries. This role offers a contract position with a basic salary between $3,500 to $4,500 and additional monthly allowances.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in Turnaround/Maintenance.
  • Competent in organizing/preparing work scope and work method statements.
  • Able to read P&ID diagrams.
  • Good in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Job description

On behalf of the hiring company, we are seeking for a suitable candidate to join them as a Mechanical Planner.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, optimising, updating and maintaining the departmental planned maintenance master schedule
  • Developing/updating departmental preventive maintenance work plan including works procedure, Risk Assessment, Bill of material, method statement, start-up check list, isolation list, work schedule, etc
  • Preparation of plant equipment data master list
  • Review/track departmental work order to identify repetitive defects
  • Maintenance of departmental inventory to prevent overstocking or out-of-stock occurrence
  • Planning of scheduled maintenance
  • Preparing progress reports of the scheduled maintenance
  • Assist in departmental purchasing/contracting works

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 to 5 years experience in Turnaround/ Maintenance or Project work or 5 to 10 years in Maintenance/ Turnaround experience in a Power Plant, Refinery or Petrochemical Plant
  • Competent in organizing/ preparing work scope and work method statement
  • Able to read P&ID diagram
  • Good in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Company transport pick up at central locations

Employment type: contract - 12 months, renewable

Work location: Tuas

Basic salary : $3,500 to $4,500

The appointed candidate will be paid $300/month for recurring allowances.
