Job summary

ASM in Singapore is inviting engineering interns to contribute to the development of next-generation semiconductor equipment within the Advanced Packaging team. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support system design, automation, and problem-solving, gaining hands-on expertise while helping deliver innovative solutions powering tomorrow’s technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Internship or academic project experience in engineering design, automation, or related areas.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems (vacuum, thermal, fluid).
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of semiconductor vacuum systems and related components.
• Assist in automation development using PLCs, SCADA, and related tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, operations, and quality to support project execution.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system issues, contributing to root cause analysis and solutions.
• Support the creation and maintenance of BOMs and engineering documentation.
• Apply engineering principles to support system and component design.
• Perform basic engineering calculations (e.g., structural, thermal, fluid systems).
• Create and update CAD models and drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Assist in preparing design documentation for manufacturing and testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and learn about new technologies.
