Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with hands-on expertise in marine engine systems, specifically in fuel pump systems and mechanical overhauls . The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of marine engines and their auxiliary systems, with strong proficiency in servicing and overhauling fuel pumps and units on both 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine engines.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnosis, maintenance, and complete overhauls of fuel injection systems on large marine engines including WARTSILA, Sulzer RT Flex, B&W MC/MC-C/ME, STX, UEC, Yanmar, and similar.
  • Conduct precision mechanical work on fuel pumps, injection units, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Carry out routine inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of main and auxiliary engines in accordance with industry and manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and marine standards , maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment.
  • Utilize engineering tools including SolidWorks and other CAD software to aid in equipment design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service instructions for marine engine components.
  • Support the technical team in on-site service jobs , dry dock projects, and global maintenance assignments when required.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for clients and internal records.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for spares and tools, ensuring timely project completion

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
  • Practical experience in marine engine servicing, specializing in fuel pump systems .
  • Strong knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine engine platforms and systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency with major engine brands: WARTSILA, B&W, Sulzer RT Flex, STX, UEC, Yanmar , etc.
  • Hands-on experience with engine component overhauling, reconditioning, and assembly .
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and engineering documentation tools.
  • Strong understanding of marine safety regulations , engine room operations, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in both onshore and offshore environments.
