As a Mechanical Engineer – Field Service is a field-based role which requires the incumbent to travel to customer sites across the APAC region to provide specialist installation and maintenance support as directed by the Resource Manager. The role will report to the Resource Manager for SEA region.

As a Mechanical Engineer – Field Service, you will be responsible for:

  • Working with a team of Field Service Engineer with the direction from the Service Manager/Installation Manager/Site Manager/Lead Engineer on site technical direction.
  • Working in an Installation, Maintenance, Commissioning Site Activities with proper Customer/Company Schedule Targets Mindset following strictly Quality and HSE Rules.
  • Having experienced in Baker Hughes/GE Aero derivatives Gas Turbine (LM2500) /Heavy Duty Gas Turbines/Nuovo Pignone Compressors (BCL Compressors) /Pumps/Auxiliaries maintenance and services.
  • Communicating effectively with Customer, Site Manager, FSE, Service / Installation / Project Managers on job planning and execution.
  • Possessing the Technical Capability to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for Gas Turbines Products.
  • Providing input for Daily, Weekly & Final report for outages and installations projects.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 3 yr of relevant experience with education in Engineering/ High School Technical Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Possess work experience in the Energy or Oil & Gas industry.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge on Baker Hughes/GE Aero derivates Turbine/Compressors/Auxiliaries installation & maintenance philosophy.
  • Be fluent in both oral and written English
  • Have good customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Have proven ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Have awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.

The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements. In between work assignments, you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions. You will also accrue annual leave which you can then take to extend your time off.
