Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team for ongoing transformation projects in the West Singapore area. The role focuses on translating concepts into practical designs and robust documentation.

You will develop CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, create prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet cost, manufacturability, and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical/product design is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and product requirements.
• Develop design concepts, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.
• Create detailed mechanical designs, including engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, quality, and performance requirements.
• Evaluate and select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing processes based on product requirements, cost, and manufacturability.
• Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to validate design concepts and product functionality.
• Analyse test results, identify design issues, and implement improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders, throughout the product development lifecycle.
