Job summary

RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a client in the marine and offshore sector, working on ongoing transformation projects. Based in the West and easily accessible, you will translate concepts into CAD models and detailed drawings to meet performance goals.

You will use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to develop 3D models, drawings, and specifications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical or product design is a bonus.
• Proficient in CAD software, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market and user research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and product requirements.
• Develop design concepts, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD and SolidWorks.
• Create detailed mechanical designs, including engineering drawings, models, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, quality, and performance requirements.
• Evaluate and select suitable materials, components, and manufacturing processes based on product requirements, cost, and manufacturability.
• Support prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to validate design concepts and product functionality.
• Analyse test results, identify design issues, and implement improvements to enhance product performance and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders, throughout the product development lifecycle.
