Job summary

Housing and Development Board (HDB) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to represent HDB with consultants and contractors across the full project lifecycle—from design to post-construction. You will ensure Mechanical Engineering Systems meet high standards and serve as a technical resource for stakeholders.

You will lead construction audits, provide technical support, conduct studies to align with evolving needs, manage public communications, and support older blocks with post-construction issues.

Qualifications

• A background in Engineering, Building, or a related discipline.
• Meticulous and able to work independently, with an eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• A pleasant disposition and strong communication skills to work effectively with contractors, colleagues, and residents.

Responsibilities

• Construction: Ensure installation by contractors meets standards; conduct audit tests and reviews.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to facilitate stakeholder handling of feedback.
• Technical Studies: Update provisions to meet residents' changing needs and adopt new technologies.
• Public Relations Management: Manage public complaints, feedback, and advisor requests.
• Post-Construction Technical Support: Identify issues and resolve cases for older blocks.
• Organisational Improvement: Carry out improvement studies to support operations.
