Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor Mechanical section on the manpower, equipment and resources
  • Prepare construction specification in coordination with vendors for critical items and finalize installation procedures
  • Prepare method of statements for Mechanical document submission on project basis
  • MOS preparation and JSA arrangement for lifting and other site activities
  • Study scope of work and documents concerning mechanical items / equipment
  • Raise purchase requisition for the project required consumable and hardware items & sub-contractor works
  • Liaise with Clients representatives, classification society surveyors and others to comply with inspection requirements
  • Initiate and promote safety programs along with safety department like monthly safety committee meetings, JSA meetings, RA meetings etc
  • Instruct foreman / subcontractors on a day-to-day basis for work progress
  • Monitor progress; instruct supervisor and foreman on safety and quality matters
  • Maintain the file copy of all latest revision drawings, approved procedures, clients Site Instruction, Project specification, JCS/JCF and prepare timesheet Form-A & Form-AA, Raised AFI and Client signed reports for Material receiving inspection and Mechanical works for internal and external audits
  • Resolve any technical problems or issues faced at the work site
  • Keep records of all works done
  • Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering
  • With at least 5 years of experiences in Marine Topside module or Oil & Gas Industry
  • Experience in mechanical equipment installation on FPSO modules, and preservation of valves, instruments and mechanical equipment
  • Flange management on Piping knowledge is essential
  • Excellent written and good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
