Job description

What you’ll do:

Perform the structural design and optimization of Low Voltage (LV) switchgear systems, providing solutions to meet specific client requirements. Oversee the full product development process-from initial concept design, prototyep assembly, simulation till successful pass type test by international testing company. Collaborate closely with cross function engineering team and to align global designs with regional market need, demonstrating both technical expertise and market awareness. Provide expert guidance on the feasibility of engineering solutions. Proficiency in English is essential; Chinese language skills are a plus. A strong motivation to learn new technologies and development processes, along with a commitment to the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity, is expected.

• Proficient in 3D design software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

• Possess strong knowledge of low-voltage (LV) switchgear systems, including competitive products and emerging technologies.

• Bring over 5 years of design experience in LV switchgear systems, with the capability to independently customize and develop IEC LV switchgears.

• Lead the design process with a focus on: Conceptual design, Piece-part and assembly, Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.

• Redesign existing products to upgrade and adapt with new technology, including identifying opportunities for local sourcing.

• Define and execute type tests and routine tests for LV switchgear in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC 61439, IEC-TR61641) till pass test.

• Collaborate with testing authorities to develop test plans, procedures, and documentation, and analyze results to drive design improvements.

• Provide technical support to pre-sales and after-sales teams to enhance product competitiveness.

• Work closely with quality and production teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree for mechanical engineering & Electrical Sciences

• 5-10 years of relevant experience

Skills:

• Familiar with mechanical design on low voltage switchgear.

• Inventor or Solidworks, and Autocad.

• Good communication and learning skills

• Detail oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

• Excellence personal skills as to be able to manage without authority

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
