Job summary

Eutech Instruments Pte Ltd, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and optimize mechanical systems for scientific instruments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation while ensuring manufacturability and quality compliance.

The role emphasizes proficiency in 3D CAD, GD&T, and analysis methods, with opportunities to solve challenging technical problems from concept through production in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of mechanical design experience in a technical product development environment.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, or NX) and PLM/PDM systems.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with mechanical design analysis, FEA, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Proficiency in designing with metals, plastics, and composites.
• Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, UL, CE, FDA as applicable).
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering calculations and analysis.
• Experience with test plan development, verification, and validation.
